Introduction:
Nowadays the world requiring a lot of things for people can life easier, better and more develop. The most important today to help the people is materials. What are the materials? How they help people in daily life?
The materials process provides for world what it needs and creates life in harmony with the current generation. The materials process consist five key elements, Extraction, Production, Distribution, Consumption and Disposal. Moreover, each element depends on the other because if any step not been successful, the all steps can't be successful. In this essay, I talk about materials process and I will explain all sides.
Extraction:
Start with extraction, how and the positive and negative aspects. The extraction is acquiring and selling any resource and exploited for the people. Actually, the extraction process is by the destruction of natural recourses, like the forests and animals. For examples, kill the animals to take their skins and benefit from it. However, they are destroying of environmental balance. the same situation in the forest they cut the trees of forest which helps to taking carbon dioxide and give oxygen because this simple process maintain the ozone layer. On the other hand, the people think, this process serves the society but actually it doesn't. Simple question, if the extraction process continues, in the future where will people and animals live?
Production:
Secondly, illustrate the production and how to effect on the earth and people. The production is transformation of the natural resources to products. Which mean entry process of materials extracted to large factories and mixing with chemical substances. For instance, some factories confuse the basic cleaning material with other substances to cause damage. The basic material is chlorine but when mixed with other materials like sodium hypochlorite become dangerous and cause damage to skin, mucous membranes and eyes. So why the factories and some companies destroy the live and planet?
Must fight the production causes destruction on the near and long term. The culture must be speared between people because they can help to stop factories to production poisonous materials. However, remember extraction and production of material process is the two sides of the same coin. Distribution:
Thirdly, now this report will try explaining the distribution and why people do not know the truth of the goods they buy. Distribution is process of moving products from the factory to customers. How to be the distribution process from the factory to customer? After production factories distributes the products to the leading companies then these companies distributed to stores and finally, the shops are selling to people. Actually, there is a problem in the society it is the people don’t know the truth of the products because some goods are made of harmful substances especially on children. Consumption:
Next, clarify the meaning of consumption and how people spend. Satisfy the desire of people to purchase goods and products then use it or spend. Today consumption has become much more than before because goods become more and also the requirements of life. If people increased consumption of products will increase the flow of toxic products in the community. The society should be careful when spend the all goods, the people who lives in one community must help each other and spread the positive sides for consumption and prevent the negative sides. Moreover, if the people adapt with consumption without thinking, will less manpower in the future. Disposal:
Then, explaining of disposal and it results. The disposal is getting rid of the product after use of a period of time. However, the people maybe didn’t think what happened for products that throw it. In fact, when the world throws the goods then come municipality and take the goods and burn it. Through this process it is noted when the country burn the products will produce the group of toxics and effect on the air layer or ozone layer. The most people in the life only think about buying and throwing without any responsibility toward the future.
Consumerism in the UAE:
Finally, illustrate and explaining consumerism in the UAE and how to spend Emirates and people who live in the UAE. At the begging of the twenty – first century UAE has become of the nations economic and imports the goods significantly from the other countries economic. This is one of the reasons that make the United Arab Emirates consuming nation. On the other hand, studies in the UAE say the foreigners and consumerism causing a big risk to the national identity. Actually, people in the UAE spend too much without producing and thinking. For instance, when the man or woman take their salary, they going to shopping and buy a lot of things no important value, community suffers this disease. Another example, Dubai a big economic city because it is small city but has population diversity, in this case each category will has own consumption. For this reason, Dubai considers one of the biggest cities consuming because demands people vary. UAE produces 2.9 million barrels of oil per day. Moreover, intends to produce 5 million barrels per day by 2014. In the Emirates waste about 250 liters per person in one day. The article shows "But the priorities of the majority of consumers have now shifted. People are borrowing money to meet basic needs, rather than to satisfy the desire for consumer goods or fund a glamorous lifestyle."(Rahman.2011, September 2)
Conclusion:
To sum up, Must increase awareness among people To avoid damage that could destroy the planet in the future. If they want to get money through the exploitation of the environment, Must stop them and fight them because they use system destroys the world.
